President’s Message

The Hamptons Community League officially formed in the fall of 2013. I can say that I am thrilled to be the first elected president of the Hamptons Community League and I look forward to all the successes I can see in the near future.

Setting up a new community league is no small task and without the help I have received from other members on the board and other organizations such as Glastonbury Community League, The City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL) this task would have been nigh on impossible. I am excited to foster our relationships with these external organizations and grow into a community league that will service the residents of our large and diverse area.

As a new league, one of the things we need to do is establish the direction our community wants us to proceed in . . . so that means that we, the board of the community league, are your voice. So please never hesitate to let us know something you want to see, or do, within the community! It is only with your support and input that we can sustain a healthy, vibrant community league.

Our first big task will be to help Glastonbury with outdoor soccer registration. February will be a busy month for that. Leading into March we will, back by popular demand, host our 2nd annual winter carnival! Please feel free to browse other sections of our web page for more information and details; or look us up on Facebook to stay in the know about our community and city at ‘Hampton Community Edmonton’.

I look forward to meeting and getting to know my neighbours!

All the best to you and yours!
